Meet the giant dog named after Dumbledore but ‘as big as Hagrid’ taken in as a stray by a TV shelter.
Dumbledog is looking for a new family with a giant-sized whole in their heart – and when we say giant, we really do mean it.
Currently residing at Wood Green in Cambridgeshire, home to Channel Four’s The Dog House, Dumbledog came in as a stray and is now looking for a fresh start.
At just over one years old, he’s an over-excitable dog with a big, bubbly personality who sometimes doesn’t realise his strength, according to the shelter.
Wood Green described him as an “energetic, adolescent wizard’ but warned potential owners not to be fooled as “he’s not your average-sized dog, more of a Hagrid-sized dog”.
Dumbledog is looking for a home with a 6ft fenced private garden to burn off some of his energy.
And while he cannot live with any other animals, another dog that is medium-sized or bigger is fine, as are teenage children.
Would-be owners should also be aware that he will need further training to be left at home on his own.
If you think you could give this pup a new and loving home, get in touch with Wood Green to find out more and register your interest by emailing [email protected]
The rehoming fee costs £180 and includes:
Neutering (if required).
First course of vaccinations.
Flea and worm treatment.
Pet 24 ID tag, plus first year of cover.
Four weeks of free Petplan insurance.
The charity is there to support you every step of the way and offers free behavioural support for the rest of the dog’s life, along with advice on caring for other pets you may have.
